How we make pet food

What are our ingredients?

Our foods are made from combining the following ingredients in the right amounts for each of our specialist recipes:

How are our kibbles made?

The kibbles are made by combining dried meat and cereals, minerals and vitamins, cooking the ingredients using a combination of steam and pressure and adding a gravy coating.

So a bit like a roast dinner on a large scale where all the ingredients are combined to make biscuits!

Is there any odour?

Our production facility is a huge, pristine kitchen and odour is produced when we bake the kibbles.

How do we manage the odour?

We use a combination of different technologies:

Condenser - This absorbs water soluble odours and cools steam from the cooking process to increase lifespan and efficiency of the carbon filter.

Carbon Filter - A filter containing highly porous activated carbon which absorbs odour molecules as the steam is passed through it.

Applied Plasma Physics (APP) non-thermal plasma. Steam emitted from the cooking process passes through 200 tubes where high-energy electrons break down odour molecules.

We carry out regular sniff-testing in addition to sampling and scientific analysis; independent testing is also carried out.  Click below to see a diagram showing our Odour Management System.
