Crown Pet Foods strengthens senior management team

Thirty-eight year old Gavin Jones, ACA, joins the company having played a central role in the management buyout of Early Learning Centre in 2001, where he was Finance Director and Company Secretary, and the company’s subsequent acquisition by Mothercare plc in 2007. He was formerly an Audit Manager at Ernst and Young in Bristol.

“Following the local recruitment drive to fill vacancies in our new production facility during the autumn and the success of our new production support systems, we are now gradually stepping up production to meet demand for our market leading brands here in the UK. Gavin’s appointment now completes our senior management team. I believe we now have the resource, skills and experience at every level within the business to fulfil our commercial aspirations and ensure our long-term success in a highly competitive market.”

A keen sportsman, Gavin Jones is married with two children and has lived in the West Country for 16 years. He graduated in 1992 at University of Wales in Aberystwyth and undertook a one year secondment to Cape Town in South Africa during his six years with Ernst and Young.
