Local football team looks ready for promotion drive
Castle Cary Football Club can thank local company, Crown Pet
Foods, for looking the part as they prepare for a major push to
secure a quick return to the county’s Premier Division. The
disappointment of last year’s relegation to Somerset Senior
Division One was a distant memory as the club took delivery of its
new kit sponsored by the company’s Royal Canin brand of super
premium dog and cat food.Willingness to learn, confidence and pride
is critical for success on the football field,” says Club Manager
Tony Pike. “Every member of the club is absolutely delighted with
the sponsorship, especially as it has been confirmed so early in
the season.”

During a recent visit to the Club, Crown Pet Foods’ Managing
Director, Jean-Lin Pelatan, was introduced to the team as they wore
their new kit for the first time. “We’re very pleased to help the
local football team in this way and we wish them every success for
the rest of the season.”
“Our reliance on significant sponsorship cannot be overstated,”
says Club Chairman Brian Silvester. “The support of one of the
area’s major employers is a real boost for us – not just for
covering important costs, but also in terms of our own credibility
and the sustained development of the club within the community. I
am confident such sponsorship will help to fuel further success on
the pitch and as we have Charter Standard Development Club status,
this will help us to realise our longer term plans to find a new
permanent base for the Club.”
