15th May 2008

We held an Open Meeting at Caryford Hall to which we invited residents of Castle Cary & Ansford, members of the press and other interested parties.

Francois Demauge & Glen Jefferson gave a short presentation on Crown Pet Foods, our production facility and our planned measures to reduce odour emissions. Mr Andy Gardiner was on the stage representing the Environment Agency.

The presentation was followed by a question & answer session. At the end of the meeting, the opportunity was given to submit written questions. Read Open Meeting Report PDF

Anyone wishing to send further questions can do so through an enquiry form on the Contact Us page of this website or by email to customerservices@crownpetfoods.co.uk.

Apology from Ian Thorn, Director, Meeting Place Communications

''We understand that a case study used by Meeting Place Communications for the original development of the pet food factory in Castle Cary has caused concern amongst some Castle Cary residents. It was never our intention to do so and we apologise for any upset this has caused. The case study was written without reference to Crown Pet Foods and was published without the company having had sight of, or having approved its content.'
